I have lived in S. Illinois for over a year and met two CNMs in preparation for eventaully having a baby here. I did not particularly mesh with either of them and felt criticized when I expressed my desires to have an intervention-free delivery (no IVs, etc, considering I have already had a baby without complications while living in a more progressive area.)
